John McCain is riding a short lived who is hot now! 

 It is amazing how one small election with just a few thousand votes can change the way things are being reported.  Of course with the 24 hours news networks needing stories to fill up time, maybe it is not so surprising.

John McCain was correct about the need for more troops on the ground, but does he really think that he can ride that one correct decision all the way to his parties nomination?

He was WRONG about the tax cuts.

He was WRONG about being a member of the gang of 14.

He was WRONG with McCain Feingold.  (Why doesn't he mention that bill anymore?)

He was WRONG about water boarding.  (These people want to kill us and our way of life, there is NO compromising or getting along with them.  If they have information about possible attacks, we need to know that information to protect OUR people and home.)

He was WRONG with McCain Kennedy Immigration Bill.  (He says he heard the American people)

With that statement that he heard the American people he is misleading the American people.  Listen to him closely and watch him.  He heard the American people and we will close the borders first.  BUT  what he doesn't say is he still believes in the thought process that almost killed his campaign.  He hasn't changed his true belief about this and the ONLY reason he is saying close the borders first is if he didn't say that his campaign would be buried shortly.

He is still for allowing illegal people to stay in this country.  He hasn't changed his beliefs on this and he is WRONG.  He is also misleading the way he is trying to spin this.  I heard the American people.  He still believes he is right and can a person like that be trusted to REALLY do what we the American people want done on this issue?

Just from watching him deal with this issue and the way he tries to make it appear he is NOW on board with what the American people want, it feels insincere to me.  It feels like he is trying to say what he HAS to say BUT he doesn't really Feel that way.  This is a too important issue to trust it to someone who is on board ONLY because he has to be to survive.

When it gets to the part of the country where conservatives vote Mr. McCain's surge will cease.
